The Paniya community, an indigenous tribe from Wayanad, Kerala, has a rich cultural heritage that is rapidly vanishing due to modernization and displacement. Their traditional crafts, rituals, and stories are at risk of being forgotten. The research focuses on the Paniya community, who are indigenous to Wayanad, Kerala. The specific fieldwork and documentation were conducted within Paniya colonies in the Chekady (Pulpally) region of Wayanad.

I initially planned a graphic novel but realized that illustration would be my interpretation
of their story. A drawing can't hold the sound of their language or the melody of their
song. A film allows the community to represent themselves, unfiltered by an artist's style.
And realised the The emotion is in the movement of the dance, the sound of the music, and
the life in their eyes.

The ability to take an abstract prompt and translate it into a concrete
visual system with defined rules, constraints, and a clear personality.
Learned type design software (Glyphs) for creating, managing,
and exporting a functional font file.
It's the understanding that a typeface is not just a collection of letters,
but a system of spacing.
